Mission and Goals:
Troy Gardens was born of a community vision for a unique parcel of state-owned surplus land. Friends of Troy Gardens was incorporated as a non-profit organization in June 2001 and created what is now one of Madison, Wisconsin’s hidden treasures, and a place that many people call home.
The mission of the Friends of Troy Gardens is to inspire people to love, care for, and steward the land. We promote community-based decision-making, participation, and leadership by a wide diversity of people in our land management and programs.
The goals of the organization are to:
Friends of Troy Gardens envisions a world where people live and learn together in sustainable communities and where all people have the tools to grow food and steward the environment.
